This exciting new event celebrates the birthplace of the Corvette concept! 2025 marks the 72nd anniversary of the Corvette – originally designed and engineered by Harley J. Earl – inspired by attending races in 1951 at the Glen. In 1953 the first Corvette appeared at the races in Watkins Glen. 2025 marks 72 years of Corvettes as the “American Sportscar”.

Watkins Glen Promotions is organizing the festival, titled “Corvette Thunder in the Glen,” celebrating the legacy of Harley Earl at Clute Park. Classic and modern Corvettes will roar through Watkins Glen for a weekend full of car shows, laps of the historic Grand Prix course, and a community block party downtown. It’s a must for auto enthusiasts and history buffs alike!

Dive into the magic of lakeside living at the Waterfront Festival and Cardboard Boat Regatta. Celebrate the beauty of our lakeside community at this exciting event, showcasing our close connection to Seneca Lake.

Held at scenic Seneca Harbor Park, this signature summer event features whimsical cardboard boats racing across the lake, live music, delicious food, and activities for all ages. It’s one of the most joyful days of the year and a true display of creativity, fun, and Finger Lakes flair.
